Unpublished and unique, the earliest attestation of Serapis on the coinage from Perge. Very fine.

From the Anatolian Viking Collection, acquired before 2021.

Serapis is attested only very rarely in the coinage of Perge, appearing once under Philip I and later on a series of coins issued by Gallienus and Salonina. This particular piece, characterized by its unusually fine style, thus represents the earliest depiction of Serapis on coins from the city.
